The good folks at b-roll.net posted what I think is a great tip for those times when you don’t have a power outlet nearby or your extension isn’t quite enough.

Simply head to home depot or go online and grab yourself a lightbulb adapter.  It’s the kind of adapter that sits between a lightbulb and the base, and provides you with a 3 prong outlet.  Make sure you get one that is grounded or get a ground lift to convert it to 3 prong.  Also, don’t forget to not go beyond the 20 amps provided by most homes, but that goes without saying.
