I loved this blog post from director, Joseph Kahn, on “how to be a director.” I just had to share it. It comes complete with photos.
I hope to someday achieve the “Grand Master” status where light rays shoot from my hands, but alas, I am not quite there yet. I am, however, always documented on productions sporting the “Caught at the Wrong Time” pose, which is a cross between “Angry Director” and the “Before” shot of any contestant on the Biggest Loser. Don’t forget Garry Marshall’s Hat Trick. Always wear an unusual hat on the set, so if anybody asks “Where’s the director?”, people can say “He’s the guy in the hat.”
