The technology is called Plenoptic, and it’s a combination of special lenses and software that allow you to refocus your DSLR still in post production. The video below explains it as good as anything. Is there anything we can’t fix in photoshop nowadays?

Sony showcased two camera form factors at IBC this year. One is the DSLR hybrid they’ve been talking about since NAB, and the other is a pretty cool looking 3D camera.  I’m impressed at the form factor revisions on the 35mm unit.
