Bob St. Charles – Creative Services Director, WFTV
I had the chance to talk with Bob St. Charles, the creative services director for WFTV channel 9 in Orlando. If you’re looking at getting into the wonderful world of television, working at a television station is a safe bet. There are at least three or four television stations in any major city, and they’re always looking for interns. It’s actually a great place to hone your skills before you go off and become the greatest director that ever lived. I spent about seven years at a television station doing everything from intern to producer/director for commercial production – it was a valuable experience that I would recommend to anyone. Bob has some great advice for those of you that are interested in getting into television production, and explains exactly what the creative services department at a television station has to offer.
