I just discovered a handy little iPhone app called Easy Release.  In a nutshell, Easy Release allows you to customize a Talent or Property release, add your logo, get a signature and a picture of your talent right from your phone.  The cost of the app is $9.99.  Not too cheap, but it seemed to me that this could come in really handy in a pinch.  There’s even a portion for location and witness signature.

Once you’ve filled out the appropriate information and snapped the picture, the app will email you the result.  I will say that if you have a stack of talent releases on you, it’s much easier to just hand them out and walk away, then it is to stand there with your phone and input it all manually.  I would consider this app a nice way to get a release on the fly.  If you have an iPad however this becomes way more realistic.  Just pray they don’t run off with the goods.
