With weak fanfare, Sony dipped their toe in the 35mm video waters today in a way that made Panasonic’s “clay model” seem legitimate.

Being at NAB didn’t help us see this new beast, and if it’s possible, there are actually even less details about this camera. All we know is that it will be available “by this time next year.”
Sony released a covert twitpic seen here. Commentary suggested that this looked a lot like a Z7.
One thing is for certain, the makers of the CineAlta brand of camera need not be ignored.
