Remember Moby? No? Sure you do. He was the ubiquitous DJ you heard on every radio station at the beginning of the millennia. Moby is a world reknown DJ, and self professed geek that makes some of the world’s most well know techno beats.

What does that matter to you?

Well, Moby has a website called MobyGratis.com. On MobyGratis you can sift through a list of Moby created, professional, techno songs free to use on your next non-commerical project including short films. My company, Blackburst Entertainment does a lot of charity work to give back to the community, and get the name out there. We’re completely happy with our purchased Digital Juice Stack Traxx library for royalty free music, but you can’t beat professional music made by an industry legend for free. I heard of the project from DP Vincent Laforet, who used MobyGratis.com on some of his short film projects. Indy filmmakers are really gonna like this stuff, because Moby has some seriously dramatic drones for download.
