Gizmodo just made me aware of a service from MSFT that I didn’t even know existed. It’s called Skydrive. It’s completely free, and gives you 25 gigs of online storage.  That’s way more than Dropbox’s free 2gb, and even more than MobileMe’s 20gb for $99.

If you’ve ever had a Windows Live login i.e. Hotmail, MS Messenger account or the like, you’re already registered. Pretty cool little find. I like that Skydrive gives you the embed code for the file you uploaded as well.  Easy for posting on your site or blog. You can create public and private folders and share them at will.

It’s a web drive, well-integrated with Microsoft’s existing web services, and fairly well integrated with Windows. (Though not so much with OS X.)
