JVC busts out some new camera toys including the HM790 [NAB Video]
We’ve always been a fan of JVC here at our studio, mostly because they produce affordable, quality gear with a great form factor. Having a “real” bayonet mount lens was definitely a selling factor when we purchased an HD100 several years ago. JVC has continued improving on that design, and has moved to a tapeless workflow utilizing SDHC cards. The ability to shoot 1080i, 720p and SD using ready-to-edit file formats like FCP’s .mov and .mp4 compatible with XDCam EX adds to the 700 series appeal.
Here’s the full press release on the HM-790.
JVC’s Product Manager Lee Thompson shows us the goods.
